Linfox wins 2-billion-dollar contract

Linfox CEO Michael Byrne and National Foods’ Group Executive Corporate Services & Logistics, Conor O’Malley sign the supply chain agreement.

 
Linfox Logistics has signed one of the largest contracts in the Australian food and beverage industry with National Foods Limited, to manage the majority of its Australian national distribution for the next 10 years.
 
Linfox CEO Michael Byrne said: “Worth up to $2 Billion in revenue over ten years, this is one of the largest single contracts in the Linfox Logistics portfolio and in the Australian logistics industry.
 
“The scope of work, including distribution centre (DC) design and management, linehaul and local distribution, will add nearly 300 people to the Linfox team.”
 
National Foods Limited is one of Australia’s largest food and beverage companies, with core activities in milk, fresh dairy foods, juice, soy beverages and specialty cheese in every state of Australia. Its brands include Dairy Farmers, Berri, Coon, Pura, King Island, Farmers Union and Yoplait and are household names.
 
“Linfox helped review National Foods’ Australian supply chain operations and developed a powerful supply chain solution that will establish a state-of-the-art distribution centre network and specialised delivery vehicle fleet.
