Australian business software gets full email integration

Happen Business has released improvements to its enterprise resource planning and business accounting software Jim2, Business Engine version 3.2.

With over 50 major enhancements, the most interesting new feature is full email integration, ticketing and helpdesk, claimed to be unique to Jim2.

Paul Berger, managing director of Happen Business said: “Businesses are so used to email being, well, just email, and not integrated with their business processes that they assume that’s just the way it is, or has to be. They don’t realise how great it would be to have email integrated with the software they actually run their business on.

“Jim2 is a complete business software solution designed to help small to medium-sized businesses run every aspect of their business, with tools for accounting, workflow and business process management. ”

The handling of email in Jim2 v3.2 has altered significantly both in the way outgoing email is handled, and the fact that Jim2 now supports incoming email. Email integration provides not only helpdesk/ticket style functionality, but extends this to all areas of Jim2 including service, sales, support, purchasing and accounts, effectively extending the CRM functionality in Jim2. Emails can be related to multiple things at the same time, captured and stored against the transaction.

Additional new features in Jim2 v3.2 include

  • A new Job Widget in Dashboard, which is a quick way to view job stats over a period.

  • Updated Windows Aero interface provides an even more stylish, simpler, and clean design. The List count has been updated, too, and now automatically runs at start up. New pop-ups, redesigned schedule interface, schedule reminders and more.

  • New Stock Procurement features. An extremely useful feature is the ability to completely control the amount of stock for a given period, both when it is getting low and when there is too much, enabling the selling off or replenishment of the stock at the correct time.

  • New in Managed Services/MPS Projects:

    • New billing periods –bill in weekly or fortnightly cycles

    • New Prepaid Labour

    • New Meter Copy Kit

    • New stock macros – prepaid pages and master machines

Jim2 training is available for new users on a one-on-one or group basis, over the web, phone or in person.
