The transport of dangerous goods inAustraliaby road and rail is governed by well-established laws and regulatory arrangements, but further improvements are needed, according to a National Transport Commission (NTC) review.

NTC chief executive Nick Dimopoulos said the review has identified a number of recommendations to further strengthen the regulatory framework that is in place.
