Pallet and container pooling solutions provider LOSCAM has announced that it has become an Associate Member of the Australian Logistics Council (ALC).
The Australian Logistics Council is the nation's peak representative body for the Australian freight transport and logistics supply chain sector.
Commenting on the announcement, Managing Director of the ALC, Michael Kigariff said "the Australian Logistics Council continues to maintain constructive dialogue with all freight transport and logistics organisations, and we welcome LOSCAM as a key integrator between trading partners."
The ALC advocates effective leadership within the supply chain sector in Australia, a notion LOSCAM fully supports. The company has stated that it believes national cohesive policy positions, as advocated by the ALC, will lead to sustainable, positive outcomes for the industry.
LOSCAM's Regional Director, Daniel Bunnett, confirmed this, stating that LOSCAM welcomes the ALC's commitment to promoting collaboration and improving transparency within the supply chain sector.
"In particular we are very supportive of any initiatives that help to drive standardisation within the sphere of pallet and related process management, and by joining we will be able to assist in improving standards for the logistics industry," he added.
