An investigation is underway after a truck bound for the WICET project flipped it trailer, spilling its entire load.
The Observer reports that workers at Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal spent several hours cleaning up the mess on the old Gladstone-Mt Larcom Rd after the trailer flipped at around 11am.
According to witnesses, workers from engineering contractor BMD raced to the scene.
A spokeswoman for the $3 billion WICET project said an internal investigation would resume today.
