Fleetmatics Group has opened an office in Australia and will provide fleet-based businesses in the country with a new choice in fleet management technology.
With nearly ten years of experience in providing services for commercial fleets, Fleetmatics provides businesses fleet control and productivity. Its 20,000-plus customers are said to have increased mobile workforce and fleet productivity, safety and security, while decreasing costs related to fuel consumption, unauthorised use, payroll discrepancies and more. Fleetmatics is currently said to be installed in over 417,000 vehicles worldwide.
“Officially expanding into Australia was a natural move for Fleetmatics on the heels of our August 2013 acquisition of Connect2Field, a Sydney-based provider of field service software,” said Jim Travers, Fleetmatics CEO. “The launch comes at the same time as our expansion into the Netherlands, both of which deliver on our goal to continue to grow the business via global expansion and new partnerships.
Fleetmatics currently has locations in Ireland and the UK, as well as several offices throughout the US. In addition to the expansion in Australia, the company also announced its entry into the Netherlands.
