Savills expand logistics offering with new hire

Savills Australia has made a new strategic Supply Chain hire, appointing Bob Quirk as Director, Supply Chain. Bob will be based in Melbourne.

With over 40 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics and project management, Bob has worked in the USA, Singapore, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand for global companies such as CEVA Logistics, KPMG, XAct Solutions, BAX Global, Kmart and the Royal Australian Air Force.

Bob will be responsible for establishing, growing and delivering a new supply chain consulting capability within Savills Australia and New Zealand. He will work with the already successful Occupier Services and Agency teams nationally.

“Bob’s appointment was a strategic hire for the business as we aim to build the quality of our service offering for our Occupier clients across the country,” said Michael Fenton, Savills National Head of Industrial and Logistics.

Bob will work closely with the National Occupier Services, Industrial & Logistics, Project Management and Location Analytics teams across the business.

“As part of our ‘client – first and always’ principle, this new staffing dynamic will work to develop efficient, cost-effective supply chain strategies for existing Savills clients and new pursuits including identifying opportunities to relocate or negotiate stay put options.

“Bob has longstanding relationships with some of the biggest logistics operators in the market. He will enable us to enhance our service offering for major occupier property requirements and provide an end-to-end solution unsurpassed in the Australian market,” Michael said.
