The Managing Director of Catch.com.au has announced his is leaving the company after four years.

Online retailer Catch.com.au is regarded as Australia’s leading e-commerce organisation.

“It is a happy & sad day that I am now leaving Catch after almost 4 years of fun, excitement, challenges and lots of growth,” he said.

Nati began as the managing director of Catch.com.au in August 2016 and said he is leaving “at a time that the business is at its peak with great results, great foundations and a great culture”.

Catch.com.au has reported a major uplift in site activity in recent weeks as consumers gravitate online, with traffic to its grocery pages up 467 per cent YoY.

Catch.com.au has ramped up supply chain operations and the focus is on maintaining stock and a reliable delivery service throughout this period of unprecedented demand.

Wesfarmers acquired Catch.com.au in a $230 million deal last year and now operates as an independent business unit under the Kmart group.

“It is time for me to move on to the next stage of my life which includes a year off to travel with my family and I know that with the current Catch team and the support of Kmart and Wesfarmers Catch will continue to conquer new peaks,” Nati said in a social media post.

Gabby Leibovich, co-founder of Catch Scoopon commented that Nati was the right CEO at the right time.

“Nati has joined us in Aug 2016 after 3 years of no growth . Our revenue was around $250m,” she said in a reply on Nati’s social media post.

“Within one year we: Bought our share back from investors , merged Scoopon with luxury escapes , launched a marketplace and changed 70% of our management. Nati has led a turnaround of culture and results and brought life back into a tired room,”

“Wesfarmers are in a great position to keep growing this amazing brand that Aussies love so much . I am estimating revenues to reach $1B in the very near future.”

Nati is on gardening leave from Catch.com.au until October 2020 and said he will be taking the opportunity to spend time with family until he steps in as Director of Harpaz Group, his family investment vehicle and start-up incubator.
