Mercury Awards calling for entries

Proudly sponsored by Toyota Material Handling, Chep Asia Pacific, TIG International, SmartTrans Limited, ProActive Recruitment and Dematic, the Mercury Awards are designed enable supply chain management and logistics organizations to reap the rewards of innovation in their many specific fields of expertise.

Why Enter? Logistics professionals are driving a rapidly growing industry — increasingly the key to our nation’s economic progress.

As a professional, nominating your team for a Mercury Award is an excellent way of recognising the importance of supply chain management and logistics along with all the hard work your company has put in over the past year.

Last year’s Australian Export category winner, Fremantle based Pork exporter CM Group has used its success over the year to further boost its business.

“We were very pleased to win the Australian Export category,” says CM Group CEO David Lock. “We placed the plaque in the entrance foyer cabinet of our head office in Fremantle and used the award to help maintain our branding as a highly reputable export trader.”

“The win has also helped cement our relationship with Sensitech, the company whom we partnered to do the thermal mapping execise for our sea shipments to Singapore.”

According to last year’s Logistics Leader category winner, Costa Logistics, the greatest benefit of receiving the award was the encouragement it gave every member of the team.

“It’s difficult to express in words the pride I felt accepting this award on behalf of our company in recognition of our leadership in the areas of logistics strategy and supply chain management,” says managing director Simon Costa.

“Industry awards provide numerous significant benefits. They acknowledge the hard work and successful achievements of industry players, as well as inspire other industry players to lift their aspirations and performance expectations, directly benefiting the customers serviced by the industry.”
