Since October this year, Schenker has been in the process of an official move to its new Brisbane site.
The property is over 26, 000square metres and is situated in a prime location at Qantas Drive, Brisbane Airport, Queensland.
With a strong team now together and consisting of over 100 employees, Schenker’s new location is ideally situated next door to the Airport, achieving faster and smoother transportation.
Margaret Kelly, General Manager for QLD, Schenker Australia says the move has provided many advantages for customers and the organisation. “Moving from five small facilities to one provides more efficient operation; now that all logistic customers are under one roof, this provides economic synergies,” she says.
“Having all staff together in one facility will improve relationships, processes and thus, an improved team work environment.”
Ron Koehler, CEO of Schenker AU/NZ states that the company was very much aware that it had to move without major disruption to customers.
“It gives me great pleasure to know that customers can benefit from our move by a more effective work flow,” he says.
“Staff are working so well together, building new relationships and have gained a true ‘team spirit’ within the office which can only be good for our customers.”
