The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) has announced heat winners for its Great Forkoff competition.
The SCLAA has recognised that today’s forklift operators are likely to become tomorrow’s Managers.
The leading logistics industry body is keen to work with both practitioners and professionals in Supply Chain and Logistics management.
Every aspect of the Supply Chain requires the use of a forklift to perform a moving task somewhere every second.
With this in mind, the SCLAA organised a National competition to identify the best male and female forklift operators in Australia.
The competition is based on skill and the safe operation of a forklift; not on speed as many might have expected.
The new Hyster forklifts used for this competition are a pleasure to drive.
NSW Winners were Trevor Webb from Sydney markets and Karley Townsend from Display & Storage in the Sydney heat.
Queensland Winners The winners of the Queensland heat are Angela Mulloy from Pacific Brands and William Fall from Linfox Heathwood NDC.
All finalists will compete in the ‘Great Fork-Off’ on the 17th of April at Homebush, in conjunction with the MATEX exhibition.
The competition is sponsored by Hyster, Century Yuasa Batteries, SSI Schaefer Sydney and Warehouse Safety Solutions.
