Where is your Warehouse Staff coming from?

The “skills shortage” is the current “hot” conversation between employers in all sectors.

Attracting and keeping staff is a real challenge. As more products are imported into Australia the Transport and Logistics sector continues to grow!

So the best place to start is by offering workers a real career path, supported by exciting training that delivers skills and Certificate level qualifications.

For 20 years Industry Skills Training at Victoria University’s Werribee campus has been offering such training.

With the level of growth in the Supply Chain segment now is a good time for warehouse managers to ensure that they have a steady stream of skilled trainees coming through the system.

As we provide training for many local employment agencies, we may even be able to help you find recruits who are prepared to become your new leaders.

As you can see in the pictures, Industry Skills has a “real” training warehouse, were students get to complete tasks starting from generating picking slips, picking orders, completing dispatch procedures, putting stock orders away and producing orders to replenish the stock used.

Students can also complete forklift training and licence assessment and it is all done in a safe and modern environment, with qualified Instructors.

Industry Skills Training can also offer some topics via a flexible delivery model that can let your more experienced workers gain qualifications at work using correspondence training materials and the RPL process.
