Toll Group to trial TZ’s Automated Delivery Asset Manager

Toll Group Ltd has entered into an agreement to trial TZ’s Automated Delivery Asset Manager (ADAM). The secure locker service is used for online retail parcel deliveries.

In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Toll Group said that it plans to trial the lockers as part of its specialised online B2C retail parcel delivery service, Toll Consumer Delivery.

"Based on the success of the trial, Toll Consumer Delivery will look to add the ADAM parcel locker service to its already extensive collection network, which includes the Nparcel newsagency parcel collection service," the group said.

Proactive Investors reports that Toll is hoping that ADAM will provide customers with more convenience and more accessible pick-up points; and that it will establish itself more strongly in the growing online logistics market.

Proactive says that Toll Group has also established a number of agreements that enable access for TZ Locker infrastructure around the country. Their aim is to establish a wide network of petrol stations and convenience stores as pick-up points.

For example, there is an agreement with AA Holdings Pty Limited, which owns and operates over 50 BP petrol stations in Victoria.
