Cooperative Logistics Network enjoys 2nd annual meeting

Thailand has been playing host to the annual gathering of The Cooperative Logistics Network. 172 delegates, came together from 8th -10th May to cooperate to succeed.
With a 20 per cent increase in attendance, this successful meeting comes on the back of a tremendous year in which the network passed a significant milestone, 200 member companies worldwide. Coverage now stands at 234 agents in 154 cities in 93 countries.
“The COOP offers us opportunities that we simply can’t find anywhere else or even in fact afford ourselves. Take the marketing package for example, the costs involved in this are extremely high and as a member of the COOP, we receive this free of charge. I already have the brochure and video and will probably get the newly launched website too, said one enthused delegate.
Having been a freight forwarder himself for many years, Antonio Torres knows what it takes to succeed in this industry. “Every year, independent forwarders lose ground to the multinationals. Meetings like this are key to success. Agents get to promote themselves on international platform and build strong relationships with partners worldwide all in one trip thus saving time and money.”
The importance of the meeting was summed up by one delegate, The numbers speak for themselves, I have been able to meet 172 agents from 117 companies from over 50 countries. It’s a low cost investment when compared to the potential business created.”
The COOP invites any freight forwarders who understand the need to cooperate to succeed to get in touch.
