Global logistics network in panic after cyber security incident

Toll Group has been hit by a suspected cyber security breach, causing a shutdown on a number of the company’s IT systems.

Customers of Toll Group reported shipment tracking is down and drivers are reverting to manual operations.

Toll has alerted all website visitors to an “important update on Toll IT Systems” posted as a display banner.

As a precautionary measure, Toll has made the decision to shut down a number of systems in response to a suspected cyber security incident,” the statement on the Toll Group website said.

“We are investigating the root cause to resolve the issue. We expect several Toll customer-facing applications to be impacted as a result.”

“Our immediate priority is to resume services to impacted customers as soon as possible. We will continue to provide regular updates.”

The MyToll website has been suspected to be down since last Friday evening, and remained down on Monday, still displaying the cyber security warning.

MyToll website allows pickups to be booked, impacting the company’s bookings and tracking systems.

The company said it continues to investigate the incident and aims to restore normal services.
