Beauty giant signs 10-year lease at Clayton Business Hub

Natural beauty tycoon BWX, manufacturer of Sukin cosmetics, is moving to a new 18,000 sqm state-of-the-art business hub in Clayton later this year.

The leading Australian business will join ESR’s Clayton Business Hub in Victoria on a 10-year lease starting at the end of 2021.

BMX group chief officer Rory Gration said the new site – located at 45-49 McNaughton Rd – would provide the opportunity to significantly enhance their manufacturing capabilities.

“The purpose-built facility will allow us to bring our manufacturing facilities and support office all under one roof, while at the same time significantly increase our capacity, invest in new R&D capability and accelerate bringing new natural beauty products to market faster,” he said.

The beauty manufacturer encompasses leading skincare and makeup brands including Sukin, Nourished life, Andalou Naturals and Mineral Fusion.

Approximately 18,000 sqm of space has been let inside a bespoke facility that will be developed on site for the company.

ESR Australia chief officer Phil Pearce said he was pleased to attract such a high calibre tenant and looked forward to welcoming them into their custom-built facility later this year.

“This pre-commitment by BWX is an endorsement of the product and service ESR Australia providers to our customers,” he said.

“We look forward to bringing more high-quality occupiers to this estate in the near future.”

The site, which is currently ready for construction for the new high-quality business hub, will feature enhanced facades, lush landscaping and deck carparking.

The 6.4 ha area was acquired by ESR Australia in December 2019 and previously contained multiple old manufacturing plants.

The hub will target a five star Green Star rating and is located within the business park precinct of the Monash National Employment Cluster – an area with the highest concentration of jobs outside the Melbourne CBD.

ESR Australia will develop 21,000 sqm of additional office and warehouse space for other prospective tenants.
