CBRE recruits new leader for I&L property management

The international commercial real estate and investment services firm, CBRE, has recruited Paul Kernan for a newly created role heading up the firm’s ‘Property Management – Industrial & Logistics’ platform in Victoria.

Paul was previously at Colliers International for more than seven years, most recently as an Associate Director. In that role he was responsible for a mixed office, retail and industrial portfolio covering Melbourne’s south-east city fringe.

With nearly 10 years working in the industrial and logistics (I&L) space, for both institutional owners and property agencies, Paul brings significant experience to his new role.

Simon Franklin, who heads up the CBRE Victoria Property Management team, says that Paul’s appointment would help the strength and breadth of the local Property Management team’s expertise and client offering in the I&L space.

“Paul’s appointment is the first of many specialist hires for our Victorian Property Management team across all sectors, designed to meet specific client needs in today’s market,” Simon says. “With exponential growth forecast for the industrial and logistics area of our Property Management business, we’ve focused on targeted recruitment and employing great talent to bolster the market leading services offering by our I&L leasing and capital markets teams.”

Dean Hunt, the Executive Managing Director of CBRE’s Victorian business, says that the further development of CBRE’s Victorian Property Management team will help bolster its I&L management services, on top of its already strong I&L investment sales and leasing operations.
