Toll Group supports container route expansion

Toll Group has thrown further support to expanding existing containerised freight routes.

The group recently established a direct shipping route between Singapore and Dampier, Western Australia. The route drastically reduced waiting and delivery times for essential supplies for WA, Toll reports.

Importers and Exporters also had greater access to the international market, as well as more efficient methods for suppliers to move their freight.

Chris Trowbridge, General Manager Upstream Oil and Gas in Global Logistics Energy at Toll Group says the route acted as a great benefit for the industry.

“This service allows direct entry of material and freight to Dampier, reducing the double and triple handling of freight out of Perth, simplifying and de-risking the supply chain,” Chris says.

Toll also provides a global network with offshore bases and logistics sites across the Asia Pacific, Europe and America. All sites aim to link supply chains across geographies as well as to increase exposure for Australian products to international markets.
