Crown truck series wins Good Design Award

Industrial forklift truck manufacturer Crown has earned the prestigious Good Design Award for its ESR 1000 reach truck series.

The award was presented in Chicago and recognised the series of lift trucks for their technological innovations, including the newly developed Gena operating system and Xpress Lower mast lowering function.

The Gena operating system enables operators to work with skill and precision at any height and with increased productivity and efficiency.

The Xpress Lower technology can double the truck’s mast-lowering speed to 1.1 metres per second.

Transport and logistical services provider Voigt Logistik reports it’s been impressed by the machine’s capabilities.

“Our operators really appreciate its many innovative features, such as Auto Height Select, Capacity Data Monitor and the new, intuitive Gena operator experience,” says Jan-Peter Wingert, Voigt Logistik site manager in Neumünster, Germany.

Jim Kraimer, Director of Industrial Design at Crown says the latest accolade is Crown’s seventeenth Good Design Award.

It’s confirmed yet again that by focusing on customer-centric development processes, we’re definitely on the right track, Jim says.
