Works have finished for an expansive 8000 sqm distribution centre in the Adelaide Airport Burbridge Business Park.

National property development group, Ascot Capital, engaged Ahrens to design and construct the centre for distribution group, Bunzl.

Steelworks supplied directly from Ahrens’ local manufacturing facility based in Kingsford were used in a multi-divisional and turnkey construction approach.

The scope of works included an 8,000 sqm distribution centre, a 1300 sqm office space, 1000 sqm of awning, an operations office, amenities retail area, innovation centre and three recessed loading docks.

Distribution group Bunzl will use the warehouse for the storage of essential and non-essential equipment for the hospitality and healthcare sectors.

This is the second project Ahrens have completed in the Adelaide Airport Burbridge Business Park precinct after the successful completion of AFL Max in 2019.

In a statement, Ahrens said, “efficient layouts of large span structures continue to set Ahrens apart from the rest.”

“Ahrens have the innovative engineering abilities, combined with design and construction experience, to meet the detailed and specific requirements of every transport and logistics project they take on board.”

“The hands-on approach to delivering high quality, value-for-money results continues to see clients return time and time again. Ahrens’ vertically integrated structure ensure they are a one-stop shop, with an unwavering commitment to providing clients with cutting edge and cost effective project solutions.”
