Australian retailer Catch.com.au is using Blue Yonder’s cloud-based warehouse management system (WMS) and labour management solution in preparation for the opening of its second fulfilment centre.
Surging Australian e-commerce demand has prompted the company to open a new Sydney fulfilment centre at the start of next year.
The company’s existing WMS is no longer able to meet its shifting business requirements.
Blue Yonder’s solutions will look to Improve customer service through increased efficiency and agility in its warehouse operations, reduce cost to serve, enabling lower prices and faster delivery for customers.
Richard Whetton, head of Fulfilment, Catch.com.au, says the company knew it needed to upgrade its WMS and labour management solutions for the opening of its second fulfilment centre.
“With Blue Yonder, we can continue our customer-first strategy of delivering what our customers need faster and at the lowest price,” Richard says.
Blue Yonder’s Luminate™ Platform uses real-time transaction processing, selection strategies and integrated labour management.
Rod Hall, account manager, Blue Yonder, says the new WHS will help the company handle an increased demand of e-commerce orders.
“Today’s retail e-commerce market is challenging for many reasons and Catch.com.au recognised that they need all parts of their business working together to serve their shoppers,” Rod says.
“We are looking forward to developing a long-term relationship with Catch.com.au to help improve their warehouse operations and better manage their warehouse labour, so that their customers can continue to experience an easy and convenient e-commerce shopping experience.”
