Sherpa and Starshipit partner to Fast Track Retail Delivery Service


Last-mile delivery company Sherpa has partnered with a global automation fulfilment platform to help Australian retailers improve delivery rates to customers.

Now Sherpa’s technology is integrated into the Starshipit platform, retailers will have instant access to Sherpa’s service, including multiple same-day delivery propositions and live tracking.

Online Retailers selling on popular platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento including marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Catch can offer customers delivery easily at the checkout and set delivery prices.

Duncan Brett, CEO of Sherpa, says customers are demanding faster delivery with live tracking more than ever.

“They decide how long they want to wait to have the product in their hands and we now know that 80 percent of online shoppers want same-day delivery,” Duncan says.

According to KPMG’s 2021 Retail Outlook Report, 80 per cent of Australian Retail CEOs and  Executives said they expect consumers’ expectations to increase the most in the next 12 months in online delivery options and online delivery speed.

“This is what this partnership brings to market, it allows Australian retailers to quickly have access to an additional shipping option, and one that is the fastest for their consumers,” Duncan adds.

Like Sherpa, Starshipit is a technology company, with the aim of automating fulfillment for retailers.  It can quickly integrate with e-tailer’s existing online platforms like Shopify, Magento and BigCommerce.

Jennifer Diaz, Head of Growth for Starshipit, says it is clear today’s consumers aren’t willing to wait and this trend is growing faster than ever before.
