Amazon joins label-free returns with Australia Post

Amazon

Amazon has committed to an extended returns window and label-free returns for the holiday season.

Some customers will be able to place orders the week of Christmas and have them delivered in time for the big day.

Cut off dates vary depending on shipping location and Amazon’s network capacity, but for Prime members ordering items shipped within Australia, the order cut off for some for Christmas arrivals is as late as Thursday 23rd December.

Easier and extended returns

Amazon is joining forces with Australia Post for its label-free drop-off service at 4300 post-offices around the country, making it easier for the customer to return items.

The reverse logistics process requires customers to pack the items in the Amazon box and bring to an eligible Australia Post Office.

Amazon Australia’s Director of Operations, Craig Fuller says the company has continued to invest in our delivery network across Australia this year to provide a better delivery experience for customers.

“Our goal is to provide a hassle-free holiday shipping and returns experience so they can shop with confidence, especially when buying gifts,” he says. “While customers can shop now to take advantage of incredible deals, this year we are pleased to offer some Australians the ability to purchase and receive gifts with us through the week of Christmas. However, the golden rule is to always confirm the estimated delivery date for your order before you check out as this is the date you can expect your package to arrive.”
