Great Eastern Highway available for first time in 17 years

Great Eastern Highway

JLL says it is acting as the exclusive leasing agent for Perth’s 246 Great Eastern Highway after it is put on the market for the first time in 17 years.

The real estate and investment management firm says the site was formerly the headquarters of Australian motorsport and personal watercraft company Sea-Doo Sport and Leisure, and is one of Perth’s most high-profile and established commercial properties.

Andrew Fife, Director, Logistics and Industrial (WA) and Ross Palframan, Associated Director, Logistics and Industrial (WA) are responsible for bringing the property to market and leasing it.

“This property is strategically located and offers a level of exposure above and beyond the most commercial sites on Great Eastern Highway,” Andrew says.

“The property has a history of long-standing tenants, and with the commercial and industrial vacancy rate at record lows, the property is positioned well in current market conditions to lease quickly,” he adds.

JLL says the property offers 2310 sqms of total building area comprising showroom, workshop and office accommodation positioned on a 5763 sqms site.

It adds that the site presents a truly unique opportunity for businesses to secure a high profile, commanding position on a major road network with unparalleled exposure to Great Eastern Highway, and more than 50,000 passing vehicles every day.

“246 Great Eastern Highway is a truly symbolic West Australian site, and most Perth residents would recognise this property from their travels,” Ross says.

“Being the first time offered to market for 17 years, it is a true representation of how rare this property is in today’s commercial market,” he adds.

“With its flexible ‘mixed use’ zoning, there are a multitude of potential end users, and we are expecting strong interest from the market.”

JLL says 246 Great Eastern Highway is in the established commercial precinct of Ascot, 8.4 kms from Perth CBD, 9.5 kms from Perth Airport, and 7.5 kms from the Kewdale Freight Terminal.

It notes it is perfectly located and is among a high-density residential catchment area, and a range of major national retailers, including Officeworks, Automasters, National Storage, BP, Ampol, Sydney Tools, Snap Fitness and more.
