The Australian Logistics Council (ALC) says it will host industry experts from across industry, government, and academia at its Forum 2022 in Sydney on Wednesday May 25.
It notes some of these figures are global leaders in management while others are senior government executives responsible for designing and implementing policy and investments that set the foundations for the freight and logistics supply chain.
“ALC is pleased with the calibre of the line-up that has been put together,” Brad Williams ALC CEO says.
“During the pandemic and through recent extreme weather events, we worked closely with commonwealth, state and territory jurisdictions, to manage a number of challenging issues,” he adds.
“There is no doubt there is now a much stronger understanding of the connectivity and interoperability of the freight and logistics sector across governments and the broader community.
“As we consider the opportunities and challenges of a growing freight task in the post-COVID environment, our government speakers panel is well-positioned to dissect policy, technology and infrastructure needs for a sustainable freight and logistics supply chain.
“In order to set up the supply chain of tomorrow for success, to improve regulation, planning and investment, we need to work together and ALC’s Forum provides the national vehicle to do that.”
List of speakers:
- Di Hallam, First Assistant Secretary, Department of Infrastructure Transport Regional Development and Communications
- Praveen Reddy, Executive Director Freight Victoria
- Susie Harwood, Executive Director Freight at Transport for NSW
- Josh Hannan, General Manager, Transport Strategy and Planning at the Department of Transport and Main Roads Queensland
