JLL has new Head of Supply Chain for Australia & New Zealand

Head of supply chain

Richard Phillips has joined JLL in the role of Head of Supply Chain – Australia and New Zealand.

He joins JLL from DHL, where he held executive roles over 25 years across its 3PL business, delivering supply chain solutions for multinational customers.

“Richard will spearhead the JLL supply chain offering and will ensure we are able to deliver premium outcomes to occupiers across the country,” Matt Lee, JLL’s National Director of Industrial Occupier Services, says.

“Issues in the supply chain continue to be a logistical challenge for many companies in Australia.  The pandemic highlighted the importance of reliance and resilience in supply chain and geopolitical factors this year have further demonstrated the impact of disrupted supply chains.

“Richard joining JLL and bringing his wealth of experience in supply chain solutions will further strengthen the advice we give occupiers on their network design, inventory optimisation, warehouse design and transport solutions,” Matt says.

Speaking on his appointment, Richard Phillips says, “Companies remain firmly focused on mitigating the risks in their supply chain operations from ongoing worldwide disruption and cost pressures.

“Availability of all types of assets to the occupier community is becoming critical to their supply chains, from people, land, steel or even fuel. It is crucial that occupiers right size their long-term property solution especially with the changing ESG [Environmental, Social & Governance] commitments.”

Richard’s role leading JLL’s supply chain operations in Australia and New Zealand forms part of the firm’s global Supply Chain group which has existing operations in the USA and Europe.
