FedEx Express (FedEx) Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) collaborated with eight local charities to spread cheer to individuals and families in need during the holidays.
The FedEx Corp subsidiary’s over 1000 team members in ANZ collected more than 1400 kilograms of much-needed supplies including food items, schools supplies, toys and basic hygiene essentials to help these charities in their vital work to support local communities in tough times.
“Our local team members in Australia and New Zealand have stepped up on our commitment to drive positive impact to local communities this holiday season,” says Peter Langley, Vice President of FedEx Express Australasia.
“Community initiatives like this are part of commitment to do good throughout the year and just one of the ways we encourage team members to deliver on our purpose to connect people and possibilities.”
FedEx notes these donations of supplies were made as part of the annual FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign, which ran between October and December 2023, in which FedEx team members come together and support charities they value most in their local communities.
“Every action that improves our world, not matter how small, is something extraordinary,” says Kawal Preet, President of Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region at FedEx Express.
“These individual donations under our FedEx Cares program have created new opportunities for our team members to multiply the positive impact FedEx makes in the local communities where we live and work.”
FedEx cares is a global community engagement program. This year team members came together in teams of all sizes across AMEA. Each team worked with their charities of choice and collected goods they needed most and distributed them in FedEx Cares purple tote bags.
