DHL Supply Chain names new leaders in Asia Pacific

DHL Supply Chain, a global leader in contract logistics, has announced three new key leadership appointments in the Asia Pacific.

These new appointments follow the appointment of Andries Retief, as Chief Commercial Officer, DHL Supply Chain Europe, Middle East, and Africa, effective September 1, 2024.

Edwin Wong appointed CEO of DHL Supply Chain South-East Asia

Edwin Wong, a DHL veteran with a distinguished 20-year tenure, assumes the role of CEO for DHL Supply Chain South-East Asia. Wong’s journey within DHL began in 2004 as a Strategy Manager and has since seen him excel across various strategic and operational roles. Notably, his leadership in Taiwan propelled the region to market leadership in the semiconductor industry. Wong will report directly to Javier Bilbao.

Fanny Huang takes on expanded role as Head of Taiwan & China Representative Office

Huang joined DHL Supply Chain in 2018 as Director of Strategic Deal Management, successfully setting up DHL Summit Solutions Inc, in the Philippines. In 2021, she took on her current role, advancing the ESG agenda and developing the APAC decarbonisation roadmap.. As VP, Head of ESG APAC, and Head of Taiwan & China, Huang will build on Taiwan’s recent progress and strengthen DHL Supply Chain’s relationship with SF Supply Chain in China. She retains her roles as APAC CEO, Chief of Staff, and APAC DEIB sponsor, reporting directly to Javier Bilbao.

Michael Lai appointed Head of Service Logistics, Asia Pacific

Michael Lai joined DHL Group in 2003 and now steps into the role of Head of Service Logistics, Asia Pacific. Lai’s career has been defined by his strategic acumen and commitment to operational excellence, most recently serving as COO of DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific. His new role will focus on enhancing customer service delivery and driving sustainable practices throughout the region. Lai will report to John Farrell and Javier Bilbao.

All three appointments will be based in Singapore.
