Addverb, a provider of robotics and automation solutions, is excited to announce its partnership with Myer.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in the evolution of fulfilment centres, as Addverb implements advanced automation to enhance efficiency and streamline operations at the Myer Wacol facility in Queensland, Australia.
With 56 stores spread across Australia, Myer has to manage a vast array of products while at the same time optimising productivity.
To assist this, Addverb has a fleet of its high-speed robotic sorters, Zippy 40, within the Wacol facility. Each Zippy 40 unit, with a payload capacity of 40 kg, boasts an impressive sorting capacity of 2,000 boxes per hour, ensuring swift and accurate processing of inventory.
The integration of Addverb‘s robotic solutions into Myer’s warehouse operations promises to revolutionise the sortation process. Upon arrival at the inbound section, cartons are seamlessly transferred from trucks to the inbound conveyor, where they undergo scanning before reaching the sorting area.
Here, the Zippy 40 units take charge, efficiently retrieving and sorting cartons according to designated store destinations or online delivery partners. The sorted cartons are then smoothly transitioned to the outbound conveyor for further processing.
“We are thrilled to partner with Myer, Australia, in their pursuit of operational excellence,” says Mr Atit Bhatt, GM, Addverb Australia.
“Our robust robotics solutions are designed to empower retailers like Myer to meet the demands of today’s dynamic market landscape. By automating key processes and maximising efficiency, we are confident that our partnership will drive significant improvements in Myer’s fulfilment operations.”
Myer shares Addverb’s enthusiasm for the collaboration and looks forward to the transformative impact it will have on their business.
“At Myer, we are committed to delivering a leading shopping experience to our customers while optimising our internal processes,” says Executive General Manager of Supply Chain, Tony Carr.
“Partnering with Addverb allows us to leverage innovative technology to enhance productivity and ensure timely delivery of goods to our stores and customers across Australia.”
