The awards, sponsored by SEW Euro Drive, showcased major industry players and emerging talents across various sectors, from warehousing to sea freight. The event marked a benchmark for excellence and inspired continuous improvement and collaboration with our official event partners SCLAA and MEGATRANS.
The Mercury Awards were merged with the Australian Bulk Handling Awards for a combined gala event at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre. This new format promised enhanced brand visibility and expanded industry connections, providing a unique platform for networking and celebrating collective successes.
The participants witnessed a grand celebration of achievement, marked by keynote speeches, industry insights, and, of course, a fantastic dinner.
Among the six award categories, the winners were –
1. Supply Chain Innovator of the Year – Allotrac
2. Best Technology Application – Skilled Materials Handling
3. Sustainability Initiative Award – CEVA Logistics
4. Freight Transport Solution of the Year – Machship
5. Contribution to Industry Award – Dr Elsie Hooi
6. MHD Sustainable Warehouse Award – Silk Logistics for the Kenwick 2 facility.
“The MHD Sustainable Warehouse Award recognises outstanding projects that celebrate innovative sustainable initiatives,” says Lauren Chartres, Show Director.
“This competition aims to honour warehouses that are leading the way in adopting eco-friendly practices, showcasing their commitment to a greener future and inspiring others in the industry to follow suit.”
“We’ve achieved a six Green Star accreditation, a distinction held by only 15 sites across all of Australia,” a spokesman from Silk Logistics said. “We put everything we could into creating an outstanding facility, and the team absolutely loves working here. We’re thrilled to welcome fantastic customers who have truly enjoyed their experience at this site. Thank you all for your support and recognition.”
