What began as a pioneering project over a decade ago has now become a standard at Jungheinrich: Introducing the Jungheinrich POWERLiNE trucks with integrated lithium-ion batteries!

With the launch of the new ETV 2i reach truck series, Jungheinrich has set a new benchmark by reducing truck dimensions while enhancing comfort and safety for the operators. This new generation of reach trucks is specially designed for customers who are seeking the highest quality and flexibility in economic conditions, along with the operational and economic benefits of lithium-ion solutions.

The POWERLiNE ETV 214i and ETV 216i

This unique concept offers load capacities ranging from 1,400 kg to 1,600 kg and lift heights up to 10,700 mm. These reach trucks are designed with the operators’ health and safety, as well as the trucks’ performance in mind.

To achieve these goals, it offers features include low entry steps for safe and effortless entry and exit, ergonomic elements such as adjustable armrests and integrated shoulder protection for unparalleled comfort, and innovative safety features like a light bar on the roof providing daytime running lights, indicators, and brake lights for optimal visibility and safety.

The use of 8 mm thick steel gives the ETV 2i series robustness, making it ideal for rough operating conditions. These important features contribute significantly to operators’ health and safety, as well as cost-efficiency and performance for the business.

The development of the ETV 214i and 216i is not only based on decades of experience with Jungheinrich’s reach truck generations but also on extensive data analysis of 14,000 reach trucks in real customer use cases. The data clearly shows that around 50 per cent of customers use reach trucks for less than five operating hours per day.

Despite the low usage of the trucks, these customers have a high expectation in regards of quality, robustness, and customisation—qualities they have been experienced from Jungheinrich reach trucks.

Stay tuned for more from Jungheinrich. The ETV 214i and 216i are just the beginning of the new generation of reach trucks, with more innovative products on the way for the Australian market.
