Alternative Fuel Summit examines support towards decarbonisation

Register for the Victorian Transport Association Alternative Fuel Summit, which will be held on 19 November and bring together experts from government, industry, academia, and regulators, for important discussions on the transition of the freight and logistics industry towards decarbonisation.

This is a full-day event focusing on Decarbonisation – The Realities of Commercial Transition and will explore the critical steps needed for the transport sector to transition to alternative fuels effectively and sustainably.

Ahead of the release of the provisional programme of the Summit next week, the VTA has disclosed the key sessions and topics to be discussed at the Summit, which include:

• Cost of Transition: Gain insights into the financial aspects and strategies for moving to alternative fuels.
• Alternative Fuel Vehicle Case Studies: Hear real-world examples from businesses that are already implementing alternative fuel technologies.
• Keeping Pace with Regulations and Targets: Stay updated on the evolving regulatory landscape and its implications.
• Victoria on the Move: Learn what’s needed for Victoria to expedite its transition to alternative fuel vehicles.

“We know decarbonisation is a journey, but planning for it now is critical for future success,” says VTA CEO Peter Anderson.

“The Alternative Fuel Summit is designed to equip attendees with knowledge, resources, and inspiration for taking meaningful steps in this vital transition.”

The Summit will feature around 20 distinguished speakers including Victorian Freight Minister Melissa Horne and Shadow Victorian Energy Minister David Davis, offering a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
