iMile Delivery announces the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) into its Australian delivery fleet, a step forward in its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

This move underscores iMile’s dedication to reducing its environmental footprint while fostering a more sustainable logistics ecosystem.

In this initial phase, iMile incorporated the BYD Dolphin into its fleet, a vehicle celebrated for its eco-friendly design, operational efficiency, and alignment with its sustainability goals. The Dolphin’s fast-charging capabilities and practical range make it a strategic choice for delivering results without compromising environmental responsibility.

Sales of electric vehicles are spiking in Australia, with new vehicle sales doubling every year since 2020, according to data from the Electric Vehicle Council. There are at least 180,000 EVs now on Australian roads, contributing positively towards national and state climate targets of net zero by 2050.

This milestone is part of iMile’s broader ESG framework, designed to integrate environmental responsibility, social impact, and governance into its business practices. The addition of EVs represents tangible progress in advancing the environmental pillar of this framework, as iMile continues to adopt innovative solutions that align with its values.

“Sustainability is at the heart of iMile. Transitioning to electric vehicles reflects our unwavering commitment to reducing emissions and supporting greener logistics solutions, says Amar Rizvi, Chief Strategy Officer at iMile Delivery.

“By taking this step, we’re enhancing operational efficiency and contributing to a sustainable future for the communities we serve.”

As a pioneer in the logistics industry, iMile remains focused on driving sustainable growth while addressing global environmental challenges. The adoption of electric vehicles is only the beginning of the company’s efforts to redefine logistics through innovation and responsibility.

This step reinforces iMile’s vision of being a leader in sustainable logistics, setting a benchmark for integrating ESG principles into every aspect of its operations. With a steadfast commitment to progress and sustainability, iMile is poised to continue transforming the logistics landscape for the better.
