Lindsay Australia has announced its acquisition of GJ Freight, an integrated packaging and transport provider, expanding operations into South-West WA, as part of its HY2025 Results Announcement.

A sale agreement was executed in February 2025 to acquire the assets and staff of GJ Freight.

Operations are set to commence on 1 April 2025.

GJ Freight is a well-established integrated logistics and packaging business, with over 30 years of experience operating in the southwest across six sites, generating more than $20 million in annual revenue.

According to Lindsay, the acquisition provides diversification and expansion into the sizeable and growing South West horticultural market with highly respected and experienced operators.

“Lindsay’s strong balance sheet, scale, experience and national network position us to capitalise on growth opportunities, even in a challenging environment,” says Lindsay Australia CEO, Clay McDonald.

“The bolt-on acquisition of GJ Freight represents an exciting step in expanding our network into a new region, enhancing our integrated transport and packaging offer,”

Additionally, the acquisition of GJ Freight is expected to deliver operational efficiencies and synergy benefits.

Lindsay remains committed to strategic investment in its fleet and facilities to support consistent and sustainable growth, with $22.2 million invested during the period. This includes $16.8 million allocated to fleet and mobile assets and $5.9 million directed towards facility upgrades. Ongoing facility developments and upgrades scheduled for completion throughout 2025 will further expand capacity, enhance network reliability, and drive operational efficiencies.
