Managing cleanliness in a large logistics facility is no small task, especially when that facility belongs to one of Australia’s largest national retailers.
Spanning 26,000 square metres, the site includes vast warehouse space, ambient storage areas, and a high-traffic loading dock.
With constant forklift activity, packaging waste, and dirt tracked in from outside, the environment presented serious cleaning challenges and required serious cleaning solutions.
To meet operational demands and strict hygiene expectations, commercial cleaning experts Clean Corp turned to Tennant Equipment.
The Site: Big floors, bigger expectations
As a key distribution hub in the retailer’s national supply chain, the facility operates under tightly enforced standards for cleanliness, safety, and uptime.
Clean Corp was tasked with developing a reliable cleaning program capable of managing:
- Heavy-duty forklift traffic and pallet movement
- Accumulation of dust, debris, and packaging materials
- Outdoor dirt brought in through expansive dock areas
- Moisture control in ambient zones to prevent slip hazards
Tailored solutions for every zone
In partnership with Master Australia, Clean Corp selected a suite of Tennant industrial cleaning machines designed to handle the varied challenges across the site. Tennant’s T16 Ride-On Scrubber, T291 Walk-Behind Scrubber, and S780 Ride-On Sweeper were selected due to their durability, high performance, and versatility in handling diverse cleaning needs.
Dual environments, including dry and cold room spaces
The facility’s dual-environment setup – spanning dry storage and cold room warehouses – required equipment capable of efficiently handling both conditions while upholding strict cleaning standards. The Cylindrical T16 Ride-On Scrubber was an optimal choice, offering dual functionality by simultaneously providing pre-sweeping capabilities to collect debris during scrubbing and drying.
Production zones
Perfect for tight or congested spaces, the T291 walk behind scrubber delivered exceptional manoeuvrability and control, making it a strong fit for production zones and storage areas with limited clearance.
External & outside areas
With more than 11,000 square metres of external surface to maintain, the compact, dual-brush S780 rider sweeper made quick work of outdoor sweeping, managing dust, leaves, and general yard debris with ease.
The ability to switch between machines allowed Cleancorp to maximise productivity during limited hours of operation, ensuring that both warehouses were cleaned on time and without disruption to the facility’s workflow.
