The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia’s (SCLAA) NSW division officially launched its 2025 Mentoring Program this week.

The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia’s (SCLAA) NSW division officially launched its 2025 Mentoring Program this week, coinciding with a sold-out event focused on career development and future industry trends.

Held at Oracle’s headquarters in Sydney, the Future-Proof Your Career event brought together a full room of supply chain professionals for an evening of insights, discussion, and networking — despite wet weather conditions.

SCLAA NSW President Irene Martínez González facilitated the panel, which included industry leaders Tony Field (Oracle NetSuite), Bronwen Webb (CSG Talent), and Chris Barr (Six Degrees Executive). Together, they explored a range of topics relevant to professionals navigating today’s competitive job market.

Key discussion points included the most in-demand skills in the sector, strategies for standing out as a candidate, and emerging trends in automation, data, and technology. Panellists also shared personal reflections and advice they wished they’d received earlier in their careers.

Chris Barr also delivered a LinkedIn masterclass, providing attendees with practical tools for improving their professional profiles and building a digital presence aligned with their career goals.

The event marked the official launch of the SCLAA NSW Mentoring Program for 2025, with TAFE NSW’s Michael Farragher acknowledged for his continued leadership and commitment to developing the next generation of supply chain professionals.

The program aims to pair early-career professionals and students with experienced mentors, fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening talent pathways within the sector.

The event is part of a broader calendar of initiatives planned by SCLAA NSW, including site tours, webinars, and networking events designed to connect and support members of the logistics and supply chain community.
