Toll Group’s latest, 5,800 sqm state-of-the-art dedicated healthcare facility at Hazelmere, Perth in Western Australia is expected to be operational in October.
The new warehouse builds on Toll’s commitment to providing comprehensive supply chain, logistics and distribution solutions for the healthcare sector in Australia and the wider APAC region.
Since joining the Healthcare team at Toll, Swapna Sinha (National Business Development Manager) has been amazed at the growth and trajectory that the business is currently experiencing. However, whilst amazed – perhaps not necessarily surprised.

“I’ve been lucky enough to join a fast-paced business that is evolving every day but have also joined a high performing team that is full of ambition and passion for providing the best experience for our customers as possible.”
Swapna points to the new facility at Hazelmere being an example of this passion and commitment to delighting customers and providing solutions to problems – sometimes before being asked.
“We pride ourselves on understanding our customers and what they need – sometimes before they do! This development at Hazelmere is an example of how our business saw what was coming through the pipeline, identified that additional investment and resource was required and decided swiftly to prepare by investing in a Perth facility that could accommodate our customer requirements and allow us excel at what we do best – provide dedicated healthcare logistics solutions including all storage requirements and statewide transport and distribution.”
Storage and capacity – cold chain excellence
The new Toll facility boasts a controlled ambient storage capacity of 5,475 pallets, cool room for 500 pallets and secure storage areas for high-value medications and therapies – as well as controlled drugs.

“This new state-of-the-art facility exemplifies our continued commitment to delivering high-quality, tailored supply chain solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers. It has the capability to store and distribute a broad range of products, and importantly it will further improve our ability to provide greater community access to crucial life-saving drugs and pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other vital medical supplies. The facility is tailored for compliance with TGA, cGxP, and ISO standards”, adds Swapna.
Sustainable infrastructure
Sustainability is also a key focus, with features such as solar panels supplying 100% green energy via roof top panels, a 40,000-litre on-site rainwater storage facility for irrigation and greywater use, and energy-efficient, on-demand lighting to reduce consumption. The facility also ensures uninterrupted power supply through its diesel generators, each with an 820-litre fuel capacity.
With a mix of pride and excitement, Swapna explains, “This new facility not only boosts our current capability but also reinforces our commitment to servicing and supporting the communities in which we operate with the highest standards of care and efficiency.”
Accessibility and location
Providing a strategic anchor point for WA’s pharmaceutical, biotech and life sciences supply chain, this new facility is conveniently located to some of Perth’s busiest and most pivotal throughfares and access points. Toll’s Healthcare facility at Hazelmere is just:
- 8km from Perth Airport
- 12 km from the Kewdale Freight Terminal

- 34km from the Fremantle Port
This convenient and accessible location is seen as a real differentiator and advantage in being able to manage and cater for a variety of WA business and circumstances as well as evolving customer needs and requirements.
Strategic expansion
Toll Healthcare has been on a journey of growth and evolution from a facilities standpoint over the last 2-3 years, with new facilities opening in Richlands (QLD) in April 2023 and Tullamarine (VIC) in July 2024.
These facilities – and the visions and strategy that underpins them – demonstrate Toll’s dedication and commitment to enhancing healthcare logistics infrastructure across Australia and supports our unprecedented growth in the ANZ region.
Swapna is also adamant that Toll is also clear on what drives them forward. “It’s an honour to be trusted to deliver such an important service, from such an impressive facility. That is something that is not lost on our business or our passionate team. The appreciation for the end-customer is in our DNA.”
“This facility really strengthens our 3PL and 4PL capabilities across the ANZ market, and it’s creating local jobs whilst increasing supply chain resilience across WA”, says Swapna.
Swapna confirms that the facilities are part of Toll’s broader multi-million-dollar investment creating advanced supply chain solutions to meet the changing dynamics in the healthcare sector and providing customers with the logistical support they need.
“At Toll Group, our purpose is to move the businesses that move the world. Hazelmere is a testament to that purpose and our commitment to healthcare logistics, his development is another investment in our national Healthcare network, as we continue to deliver high quality, capabilities and services, through our strategic growth plans.”
Swapna adds, “It’s critical for us to understand and manage the complexities around healthcare logistics, and this facility further exemplifies the growth and customer-focused intent of our healthcare business. It will be another significant milestone in our network but also for the people of Western Australia who will benefit from the enhanced service and efficiencies we can provide.”
