Röhlig Australia has expanded its national warehousing footprint with the opening of a new premium industrial facility in Sydney’s western logistics corridor.
The new site offers more than 11,000 square metres of combined warehouse and office space and is located just ten minutes from Röhlig’s existing Sydney head office. The proximity supports the continued expansion of the company’s bonded facility operations in Moorebank.
Positioned within one of Sydney’s most active freight and logistics precincts, the facility provides direct access to major arterial routes and transport hubs. It is located 1.3 kilometres from the Hume Motorway, 8.2 kilometres from the M5 and M7 on ramp, 24.1 kilometres from the future Western Sydney International Airport, and approximately 50 kilometres south west of the Sydney CBD.
The facility has capacity for 12,972 pallet positions and is designed to operate on a 24 hour basis. Key features include five on grade roller shutter doors, four recessed docks, all weather loading and unloading awnings, and high internal clearance ranging from 10.4 metres to 12.7 metres. The site also includes modern office accommodation, staff amenities and ample on site parking.
According to Mat Vermeulen, Managing Director of Röhlig Australia, the Sydney expansion reflects the company’s continued national and regional growth strategy.
“This new facility represents another important milestone in Röhlig’s ongoing growth story. It follows our purpose built 18,500 square metre warehouse in Melbourne, which officially opened earlier this year near Tullamarine Airport,” Vermeulen says.
“Over the past few years, we have expanded significantly, opening new facilities in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, as well as in Auckland and Christchurch in New Zealand. This latest addition reinforces our commitment to providing high quality services and flexible logistics solutions to our customers.”
Röhlig says the new Sydney facility will enhance its ability to support customers with advanced warehousing, efficient distribution, and tailored logistics solutions across Australia.
