Modscape + Modbotics will expand its Queensland manufacturing and logistics footprint through a new 20,918 sqm built-to-suit facility at Vantage Yatala in Stapylton.
Frasers Property Industrial has secured a 15-year lease with the modular construction and advanced manufacturing business at its 65 ha industrial estate, located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The new facility will support Modscape + Modbotics’ production, storage and distribution operations, providing a key hub for modular building components delivered to projects across Australia.
Modscape + Modbotics designs and manufactures prefabricated buildings for the residential, education, health, aged care, commercial and government sectors. The business requires specialised industrial infrastructure to support its advanced manufacturing model, including automated production systems and the movement of large modular components through the supply chain.
The Yatala facility has been purpose-built for those requirements. It will include heavy-duty load-bearing floors engineered to accommodate specialised machinery and robotics, as well as increased internal clearances to support large-scale manufacturing and logistics processes.
Jan Gyrn, CEO, Director and Co-Founder of Modscape + Modbotics, says the facility marks an important milestone for the business and reflects its ongoing commitment to Queensland.
“Vantage Yatala gives us the scale, flexibility and strategic location to meet rising customer demand while continuing to deliver innovative, sustainable modular construction across Australia,” he says.
Troy Whalan, General Manager – Queensland at Frasers Property Industrial, says the transaction highlights rising demand for industrial facilities designed around more complex manufacturing and operational needs.
“Industrial facilities are increasingly supporting sophisticated manufacturing and production operations, requiring specialised building design and infrastructure,” he says.
“Modscape + Modbotics is at the forefront of innovation in the construction sector, and we are proud to be supporting its continued growth with a facility designed specifically around its operational needs.”
Following the transaction, Vantage Yatala is now 85 per cent leased, with remaining opportunities across Lots 301, 302, 203 and 204.
