Cadence Property Group has marked practical completion of a major cold storage facility developed for Laverton Cold Storage at 350 Leakes Road, Truganina.
Practical completion was achieved on 24 November 2025, with the facility now operational as Laverton Cold Storage finalises its fit-out, including automated storage systems scheduled for completion by mid-2026.
Delivered with support from Spargo Property, the institutional-grade facility spans more than 23,000 sqm of gross lettable area, including about 16,000 sqm of purpose-built freezer space. It has capacity for approximately 35,000 pallets and features 24 loading docks, including 14 fully climate-controlled igloos designed to support throughput and product integrity.
The fit-out has been optimised for efficiency, incorporating automated storage and retrieval systems, satellite racking and selective racking.
Located in one of Melbourne’s key logistics corridors, the Truganina facility strengthens temperature-controlled warehousing capacity for food, grocery and other cold chain supply chains.
Cadence said the project brought together investors, partners, the project team and Texco Construction to deliver a strategically located, future-ready cold storage asset.
For Laverton Cold Storage, the facility provides additional scale as demand for efficient, temperature-controlled warehousing continues to grow.
