Amazon Australia has entered into an agreement to purchase 17.2 hectares of land in Bradfield, Western Sydney, strengthening its long-term commitment to the region as it continues to expand its fulfilment and logistics network.
The acquisition adds to Amazon’s growing presence across Western Sydney, where the company says it has invested almost $2 billion since opening its first Sydney fulfilment centre in Moorebank in 2018.
Since then, Amazon has opened a robotics fulfilment centre in Kemps Creek, a logistics site in Regents Park, and a fulfilment centre in Horsley Park, which opened in 2025. A further fulfilment centre in Horsley Park is also on track to open later this year.
The company has also lodged a State Significant Development Application for an additional robotics fulfilment centre to complement its existing facility in Kemps Creek.
Wayne Angus, Director of Operations at Amazon Australia, says the Bradfield land acquisition reflects the company’s continued investment in Western Sydney and its operations across Australia.

Amazon says its expansion in Western Sydney has created more than 4000 local jobs across fulfilment operations, logistics, technology and management.
The company says fulfilment centre roles do not require qualifications or prior work experience, with Amazon providing training and support for new employees. Benefits include subsidised health insurance, free life insurance, up to 20 weeks of parental leave pay for full-time associates and a free Amazon Prime membership.
The Bradfield land agreement comes as Amazon continues to invest in large-scale fulfilment infrastructure across Australia. The company recently announced plans to invest more than $750 million in Queensland’s first Amazon Robotics fulfilment centre in Logan, aimed at supporting faster delivery for customers in the state.
The latest Western Sydney acquisition further positions the region as a key logistics and fulfilment hub for Amazon’s Australian operations.
